Long Term Disability Insurance

Below is the Long Term Disability (LTD) benefit offered to those who work 20 or more hours per week for a congregation, district office, or camp. (If you work for a denominational agency or other employer, contact your human resource manager to find out if your employer offers this plan.)

  • The plan pays 66 2/3 percent of salary up to $5,000 a month, reduced by Social Security or other group disability benefits.

  • Payment begins after 90 days of continuous disability.

  • Payments continue to age 65 for people disabled before age 60.

  • Payments continue for at least five years, or until age 70, for those disabled after age 60.
