Brethren Insurance Plans
The Church of the Brethren Benefit Trust Insurance Plans provide coverage for ministers and other employees of congregations, districts, camps, and Church Agencies, as well as for retirees, surviving spouses, and dependents.
Employees of related Church of the Brethren Agencies may also be eligible for enrolment in the plans. BBT refers you to your human resource manager for more information.
To be eligible to participate in the plans, a person must work at least 20 hours a week.
Benefits encompass a wide variety of health and welfare plans, including flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts.
Plan members initially enrolling into the plan(s) benefit from “guaranteed issue,” which means there are no screenings to determine insurability or limitations placed on pre-existing conditions.
